About the work
This photograph creates an illusion of infinity. It immerses us in a space where the horizons are erased between the sky and the sea. The remains of old tree stumps emerging from the water resemble the fragments of a former life, a former time, slowly absorbed by oblivion. The water merging with the sky resembles a foggy curtain erasing the boundaries of reality. This image seems to offer us reflections on the passing and the power of time, on how everything in the world sooner or later returns to peace and quiet. This photograph conveys a sense of an invisible dialogue between nature and time, where everything has an end, but remains an eternal part of this world.
